Bite Restorer
The Anodyne Bite Restorer (ABR), or “Over-Partial” is a longer term splint that allows the patient to return to a healthy joint position. The standard design of the Anodyne Bite Restorer includes four clasps. most often on the first bicuspids and first molars, and a lingual apron as the major connector. Additions and corrections to the occlusion can be made in the doctor’s office with a light-cured composite material.
Correcting intraoral conditions such as sharpened posterior teeth and worn amalgams prior to appliance fabrication will enhance the fit of the Bite Restorer. Ask about our technical bulletin which describes how to prepare the mouth and transfer a splint bite. Johns Dental also offers a version using clear acrylic, rather than tooth-colored composite, at a reduced cost.
